Wednesday night and counting
Okay, Century Link — changing the date on your automatic phone response message doesn’t change the fact that you said more than 24 hours ago that internet service would be restored in 24 hours.

What is something you have witnessed or...
I guess the first thing that comes to mind is that yesterday, I made & canned strawberry jam. This morning, I made biscuits. We had biscuits & jam for breakfast. That was pretty satisfying. Overall, I don’t know if this is the best sample week, tho. Right now (the week before graduation) is all about anticipation and being just inches away from the milestone and the anxiety about...

Vote for W&L! →
It is time for the first annual 2010 Frat Madness Championship Game. Many reputable institutions have fallen and only two remain. Washington & Lee obliterated Kentucky and will now face Southern Methodist, who edged Virginia by only 34 votes after thousands were cast. Y’all. SMU is ahead by 2%. We can’t let this happen. Go vote W&L to internet glory. Go. Do it....

Are you doing some late night Tumblr browsing?
Then you need some awesome background tunes. Go to http://137.113.170.30/WLUR (or wlur.wlu.edu, then click “listen” in the left-hand sidebar) between now and Midnight eastern time to hear two of my all-time favorite men of the W&L Theater Department — Professor/Designer/Father Owen Collins and Actor/Student/All-Around Stand-Up Guy Dave Curran — lay down some wicked...

Arizona Ethnic Studies Classes Banned, Teachers... →
Meanwhile, in a move that was more covert until the Wall Street Journal uncovered it, the Arizona Department of Education has told schools that teachers with “heavy” or “ungrammatical” accents are no longer allowed to teach English classes.
